adolescence. He is mentioned almost from the first page of the diary.
This is a page from the 1895 diary. It contains a paragraph about Charles
written in Wynne's own code. This was an effort to preserve some privacy
in a family noted for its intrusion - it was very difficult for a young
Victorian to have a private life.
